Strikes in Finland affecting freight traffic 11.3.-25.3.2024

Several Finnish trade unions have again announced strikes, of which the first two-week strike will begin on 11.3. at 06.00 AM and end on Monday 25.3. at 06.00 AM. In addition, the trade unions have announced a second, one-day strike on Friday 15.3.

While the strikes will not directly impact Ahola Transport’s operations, they are still likely to have indirect effects on our operating environment. This can mean changes in the freight balances, disruptions in the ferry traffic, and delays during unloading and loading. These factors may lead to longer lead times than usual.
