Strikes in Finland affecting freight traffic 1.-2.2.2024

Dear Customer,
The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) and its affiliated trade unions have announced political work stoppages in Finland, lasting from one to two days. The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT and the Paperworkers Union are among the unions participating in these strikes.

The strikes will take place on 1^st and 2^nd February 2024. While they will not directly impact Ahola Transport’s operations, they are still likely to have indirect effects on our operating environment. This can mean changes in the freight balances, disruptions in the ferry traffic, and delays during unloading and loading. These factors may lead to longer lead times than usual.
