Demo Day: A Gathering of Transport Operators in Naantali

Ahola Transport held the Demo Day event in Naantali on 9 May 2025. The event featured around 80 participants from the fields of logistics, transport, and sustainable development. During the day, we explored alternative forms of energy and vehicle technologies, and experts in the field came together to share practical insights.

 

The program featured several expert presentations discussing such topics as the current project findings and day-to-day experiences in implementing alternative forms of energy. The speakers included representatives from official bodies, research, and various companies. These topics were approached through practical examples and solutions.

 

 

Ahola Transport’s electric and gas-powered vehicles were showcased at the event, and the company’s drivers shared their experiences of driving vehicles that use different forms of energy. The drivers especially liked the smooth ride and efficiency of electric cars. Participants also got to sit in the vehicles and experience what a real electric lorry ride feels like.

 

The introduction of new vehicles in operational activities has been a mostly positive experience for Ahola Transport. Practical observations have supported the development work to integrate low-emission equipment into the company’s everyday operations.

 

The AI camera solution developed jointly by Ahola Transport and Ahola Digital was also showcased at the event; the solution uses artificial intelligence to ensure that loaded cargo is tied down safely and in compliance with the regulations.

 

One of the highlights of Demo Day was celebrating Niina Nyblom, the first Ahola Academy graduate, and the diploma ceremony for the graduates. The event was also a testament to Ahola’s long-term work in competence development and personnel training.

 

 

The event’s atmosphere was warm, open, and enthusiastic. The guests had the opportunity to become familiar with the fleet, chat with industry operators, and enjoy good food and company.
